About Ant
Antonietta (Ant) started working in gardens in 1994, including two years on organic farms, three years at the Greenline in Glen Iris and two years with Landcare, and has run gardening projects in schools.
After most of a career in education, as a vocational education manager and in academic roles, Ant now dedicates herself to gardening and garden design, including new gardens, mainly in a small garden setting. Her background in community art and teaching design is where the love of designing gardens comes from.
“We work with your unique ideas and needs.”
Garden notes
A native ground cover that loves moisture and dappled shade, and can stand in for lawn in low-traffic areas.
Fluffy, bright green and fast growing, with white flowers. Great for mounds or borders.
Native birds love them, they handle dry spells once established, and they make great low to high hedges. Not prickly, either.
Ant’s favourite kind of garden, especially planted together with Australian natives. Callistemon is her number one pick to go with it.
